Late 1980s Seiko Dolce featuring a slim, angular rectangular case with a high-polish gunmetal finish and gold-tone accents. The case is constructed from tungsten carbide, giving it exceptional scratch resistance and a dense, refined feel. Tungsten carbide is significantly more difficult to machine than stainless steel due to its extreme hardness, which makes it both expensive to produce and uncommon in watches, even today. The result is a case that looks as good now as the day it came out of the factory.
The charcoal grey dial is minimalist, with applied gold markers and matching gold details that reinforce its restrained dress aesthetic. A gemstone-set crown adds a subtle point of contrast. Finished with a sapphire crystal and paired with its original leather strap and steel buckle.
This example is in excellent condition with no visible scratches on the case or crystal.
